This pre fall collection is about the modern day party girl. This girl has a pulse to her that is  different compared to how we know party girls to look like. I wanted to show strong, yet simple emphases to this collection by showing a variety of simple, straight fitted shift dresses with  strong fur coats. The dress that says modern day sophisticated party girl the most, has an  asymmetrical cape sleeve, & is covered with silver beaded fringe. While showing something that still say’s after 5, I didn’t want to forget about the strong  emphases on the fur coats by attaching soft structured harnesses trimmed out of alligator and placing large brooch closers made out of gold metal and crystal. I wanted to keep a cool mood of the collection by choosing a color palette of gray, violet blue, Navy, silver, and white. I  wanted to make the capsule dark, but not black.  The destination to this collection is more about travel for the socialite, especially when she  wants an easy dress to pull out of her suitcase that she can just zip and go to the hottest  places in.

Portfolio Review

As graduating senior, I created a capsule collection to show my workmanship. My capsule collection consist of a Cashmere ball skirt, a hand bead dress, & a leather, cashmere coat with beaded detail, & Mongolian lamb sleeves.

The inspiration came from an idea of a woodsy wonderland dream that translates to the modern world.

this coat have been used in editorials. This was the test run.

Beading revival (white 1920’s hat)

This hat belongs to my Great grandmother. The designer is unknown. Over 20% of the hats original beading was gone due to poor care & storage. I replaced the beading with cut out beaded lace & loose artificial pearls.
